COLDWELL BANKER AGENTS RAISE MORE THAN $180,000 FOR LOCAL CHARITIES IN 2011
Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage agents rallied together and raised more than $180,000 on behalf of local housing-focused charities benefitting those that are in need. Coldwell Banker agents set a fundraising goal of $130,000 in 2011 and are proud to have surpassed it by nearly 40 percent, helping hundreds of families in the communities they serve.
Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage offices created unique and fun local fundraisers, such as the Lincoln Park Plaza office’s National Runaway Switchboard (NRS) – a 24 hour crisis line for at risk and homeless youth and their families – cocktail reception at the Playboy Foundation headquarters, where friends and supporters enjoyed Playboy’s extensive art collection including works by Warhol, Haring, Dali, Hunt, Pascheke and Silverstein as well as silent and live auctions. Moreover, these efforts supported company-wide initiatives for the Ronald McDonald House Charities® such as the Coldwell Banker Oak Brook office’s “truck pull” where teams competed to see who could pull a garbage truck and semi-truck the fastest across the finish line and the “Help Make This House a Home” program which encourages agents company-wide to fill the newest and largest Ronald McDonald House with much-needed supplies.
In October 2007, Coldwell Banker launched the Coldwell Banker Charitable Foundation (www.givehousing.com) to support local housing-related causes that directly benefit the needs of the people and communities. Through donating time, talent and resources, Coldwell Banker agents have committed to contributing substantially to various charitable organizations with like focus and has raised more than $460,000 since inception.
“The communities we serve are incredibly important to all of us at Coldwell Banker, and we are humbled to give back,” said Fran Broude, president and chief operating officer of Coldwell Banker. “We don’t simply work in these communities; we live in them as well so it is our privilege to give back.”
Coldwell Banker will be celebrating these efforts through two breakfast events on March 14 in Chicago and March 21 in Mequon Wisc. where partner organizations will be in attendance to accept checks and share in the celebration with other organizations.
