The Illinois Department of Transportation announced that a project to seal bridge decks on Interstate 57 in both directions between U.S. 30 in Matteson and Interstate 94 (Dan Ryan Expressway) in Chicago is scheduled to begin this week.

The project will require overnight lane closures on I-57 in both directions for one or two nights on the bridges where the repairs are being made. The operation will begin this week at U.S. 30, moving north to the junction with Interstate 94 until the tentative completion date of Sept. 30.
