Car Break-In Only Results in Tossed Papers: Police Blotter
Tinley Park police reports, Feb. 12-14 • Parked car goes missing the next day • iPhone taken from health club locker room.
THURSDAY, FEB. 14
Nothing Taken After Car Break-In
Police were called to a home in the 16400 block of Brementowne Drive, after a victim reported their car was broken into.
The victim told police that the car was broken in to and papers were thrown about. But nothing appeared to be taken, the victim stated.
Police told the victim a report would be filed.
Um, Where's My Car?
Police were notified of a car possibly stolen in the 8000 block of Enclave Lane on Friday, Feb. 8.
The victim said she left her car on the street because of construction and when she returned the next day, the car was gone.
Police checked with other area agencies, but could not locate the car. An investigation is ongoing.
TUESDAY, FEB. 12
iPhone Taken at LA Fitness
A man reported his iPhone stolen while he was in the locker room at LA Fitness, 18400 Convention Center Drive.
The victim told police he was in the locker room with three other men when he placed his iPhone on the top of his gym bag in a locker. He then turned his back for a few seconds before grabbing his bag and leaving, the victim stated.
At home, the victim said he noticed his phone was missing and believed the three other men in the locker room took it. Using tracking software, the victim told police he believed he had the location of the phone.
