Green Bay all the way! They were my favorites pre-Ravens, and I think Lambeau Field has much better ties to the community than the monstrosity known as Soldier Field.
But I'll root for anyone who isn't the Steelers ;-)
This one is for Papa Bear and Walter. This is only the second time in 182 meetings these two teams have battled in a post-season game. December 14, 1941 was the first in a game that Sid Luckman completed four of nine pass attempts but the Bears scored three rushing touchdowns on 48 rushes for 277 yards. The atmosphere at Soldiers field this Sunday will sound like the roar of the Roman Colosseum when prisoners were sacrificed to lions. This time it will be the Bears devouring the Packers. The Bears would welcome Paul Dailing as one of their fans.
Okay Paul, take a real good look at those 2 magazines you had. Cheese wedge or a grizzly bear.......how can anyone root for a team who's "mascot" is a cheese wedge??? GO BEARS!!!
Paul, how about divine intervention? Here's a prayer you can recite:
IN GOD WE TRUST !! FOR DA BEARS ...Our Papa, Who art a Bear, Hallowed be thy fame. Thy championship come, Thy play be run, at home as it is away. Give us this day our Sunday win, And forgive us our turnovers, Though we pounce on those who turn against us. And lead us not into fourth and long, But deliver us from Rodgers. In the name of Ditka, Butkus, And the Holy Payton, As it was in 1985, So shall it be in 2011, Without end reign, DAAAA MEN
Paul, I think at this point you trust my opinion on a few things. Don't align yourself with pseudo-Wisconsin. You're better than that. The Bears are a symbol of strength and fear-inducing brutality. The Packers are an automatic butt-of-jokes. Are you a fierce, awe-inspiring, growling bear? Or are you merely a packer? A shoveler if you will. What are you packing? Where are you going? Oh, that's right, to FIND MORE CHEESE.
I am a DIE HARD Green Bay Packer fan and proud owner of one share of Packer stock. The Packers are the ONLYprofessional sports team to be publicly owned.
The Packers are the most fan-friendly team in sports. In summer training camp, players will ride the bikes of area kids the 2 blocks from the locker room to the practice facility, while the kids carry the player's helmet. This is so cool!
