After officers gave a reportedly belligerent area woman several chances to avoid arrest last week, she managed to get herself arrested, they said.

Police were flagged down around 8:30 p.m. Jan. 26 by a bouncer at J.W. Hollstein's, 17358 Oak Park Ave. in Tinley Park, who said that an intoxicated woman was causing a disturbance in the bar and refusing to leave, according to the report. Officers soon found Allison R. Boyne, 23, of the 19700 block of 114th Avenue in Mokena staggering out of the business.

Boyne was warned to not return to the bar and Tinley Park police encouraged her to sit down and call someone for a ride home. 

"Suspect made several more attempts to push past (officers) and reenter the bar," police said. "(Officers) continued to tell the suspect to sit down and call for a ride home but she refused to listen …"

Boyne tried many times to walk away, according to the report, but police warned her that she could be hit by a car or struck by a train. Police eventually were able to reach the woman's brother, who was en route to pick her up when she began "yelling and ranting" and tried to push her way back into the bar, the report said.

She then walked up to one of the offers and pushed him in the chest with her forearm. She was arrested and charged with battery. Her bail was set at $1,500.
