Blotter: Drug Paraphernalia, a 'Stolen' Vehicle and a DUI
Tinley Park police reports, May 10-12.
SATURDAY, MAY 12
Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
Daniel J. Coffey, 44, of the 7100 block of Coachwood Trail in Tinley Park, was arrested around 4:15 p.m. at his home on a failure-to-appear warrant out of the Oak Forest Police Department for possession of drug paraphernalia. His bail was set at $5,000.
FRIDAY, MAY 11
'Stolen' Vehicle
Police said a man and a woman stole a vehicle between 10:15 p.m. May 10 and and 12:30 a.m. May 11. The car was parked behind J. W. Hollstein's, 173589 Oak Park Ave in Tinley Park. It was unlocked and the keys were hidden under a mat. Officers spotted the car and though the victim said he didn't know the driver, the case seemed suspicious, the report indicated. The victim didn't want to press any charges.
THURSDAY, MAY 10
Driving Under the Influence
Terry T. King, 39, of the 16200 block of South Justine Street in Markham, was arrested around 1 a.m. in the 18000 block of Harlem Avenue in Tinley Park. He was charged with driving under the influence, driving under the influence with a blood-alcohol content greater than 0.08, operating an uninsured motor vehicle and improper lane use. Officers said they stopped King after they saw him swerving across lane lines. He was sobriety tested when the noticed a scent of alcohol on his breath and that his eyes were bloodshot and watery, according to the report.
