Business Comings & Goings: Hibachi Grill Opens in Orland Park
Tinley Glass Corp. moves to Frankfort Square • Red Mango to help Hurricane Sandy victims Nov. 13 • Walgreens near 159th Street and 80th Avenue unveils new look • Toy show and sewing expo come to Tinley Park Convention Center.
Hibachi Grill & Supreme Buffet opened last week at 7260 W. 159th St. in Orland Park in the Home Depot plaza.
The restaurant, which features Chinese, Japanese and American cuisine, is the third buffet for owner Jacky Chen. He also owns locations in Matteson and Forest Park.
“Business has very good, so far,” Chen said.

Hours are from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. Monday to Thursday, 11 a.m. to 10:30 p.m. Friday and Saturday, and 11 a.m. to 9:30 p.m. Sunday.

Tinley Glass Corp. Moves to Frankfort Square
Tinley Glass Corp. moved recently from its longtime home on Oak Park Avenue in downtown Tinley Park to new digs at 7238 W. Benton Dr. in Frankfort Square.
The full-service glass shop has been owned by Rami Kowlessar for more than 20 years.
Hours are from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday to Saturday, and from 8 a.m. to noon Sunday.

Red Mango Helps Hurricane Sandy Victims
Red Mango shops, including the newest one at 31 Orland Square Drive in Orland Park, will donate 20 percent of their sales on Tuesday, Nov. 13, to the American Red Cross Hurricane Sandy Relief fund.
Walgreens Unveils New Look
Walgreens will hold a ribbon-cutting ceremony at 8 a.m. Monday, Nov. 12, at its newly remodeled store at 7960 W. 159th St. in Orland Park.
The store’s new personalized pharmacy area lets pharmacists chat with patients in the newly constructed consultation rooms. There are also new Express Rx kiosks that help patients pick up refills and be on their way. A new Fresh Foods area includes all things healthy, including fruit, vegetables, sandwiches and salads.
My Baby Bump Grand Opening
My Baby Bump Ltd., a non-medical ultrasound studio at 15010 S. Ravinia Ave., in Orland Park, will hold its ribbon-cutting ceremony at noon Tuesday, Nov. 12.
Owner Mary Vacey has 29 years of experience in the medical ultrasound field. She opened the studio to give expectant parents a different kind of ultrasound experience. Families can learn the gender of an unborn, hear the baby’s heartbeat, and take photos of the baby.

Title Max Now Open
Title Max, one of those companies that gives loans to people who use their car title as collateral, is now open at 14450 S. LaGrange Road in Orland Park, the former location of Brown's Chicken.
Sunshine Studio Expands
Sunshine Studio, 8600 W. 159th St., in Orland Park, is expanding after being at its location for less than a year and a half. The studio is adding new yoga and Pilates Reformer classes along with new services such as massages, facials, waxing, acupuncture, and cupping.

Sewing and Quilt Expo in Tinley
The Original Sewing & Quilt Expo will be held at the Tinley Park Convention Center, running from Nov. 15 to 17.
The show includes classes, workshops, retailer booths, how-to demonstrations and fashion and trunk shows.
Show hours are from 10 a.m. to 6 p..m. Thursday and Friday, and from 10 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Saturday.
Admission is $8 in advance and $10 at the door. Children 12 and younger are free.

Doll, Bear and Toy Show Coming to Tinley
The Illinois Doll, Bear and Toy Show will be at the Tinley Park Convention Center from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Sunday, Nov. 18.
The annual show is moving this year to Tinley Park from Naperville and features free appraisals with paid admission.
Admission is $10 for early birds (admission at 8 a.m.). Regular admission is $5 and $2 for kids 12 and younger.

Business Stars Announced
The Economic Development Council for the Southwest Suburbs handed out its 2012 Stars of the Southwest Suburbs awards recently at the 2012 Business Champion Awards dinner at Moraine Valley Community College. Winners included the following businesses:
- Smith Village Senior Living Community in Chicago received the Training and Development Award.
- FutureMark Paper, an Alsip-based manufacturer of recycled coated paper for magazines, took home the Sustainability Award.
- Excellence in Government awards went to Alsip Mayor Patrick Kitching and Vicky Smith, executive director of the Southwest Conference of Mayors.
- The Philanthropy Award was presented to Patrick McShane, president of the Disabled Patriot Fund in Orland Park.
Winners in of the Best Places to Work Award include Schroeder Materials in Worth, St. Coletta’s of Illinois in Tinley Park and Silver Lake Country Club in Orland Park.
The Stars of the Southwest Suburbs Awards recognize the contributions businesses and their advocates make to the economic development of Chicago’s Southwest suburbs.
