Get Ready to Fall Back: Daylight Saving Time Ends Sunday

Don't forget to switch your clocks back an hour at 2 a.m. Sunday, Nov. 4.

At 2 a.m. Sunday, Nov. 4, Daylight Saving Time officially ends.

So before you go to bed Saturday night, or when you wake up Sunday morning, turn your clock back one hour. It's like traveling back in time, right here in Tinley Park.

The Tinley Park Fire Department wants to remind residents to use this time to also check the batteries in your smoke alarms. Many fire departments use the twice-yearly time changes to remind people to change batteries, especially with the holidays nearing.

In 2012, Daylight Saving Time began at 2 a.m. March 11.
