Johnny English Reborn
It's PG, so never underestimate the power of slapstick for the kids. But for the adults, why not watch Rowan Atkinson in Mr. Bean, Blackadder, The Thin Blue Line or a dark alley as his goons beat you savagely? They all look like more fun options than Johnny English Reborn. Rated PG. 101 minutes.

Joy Road
A gritty look at a young public defender and a murder case that pulls him back into the rough Detroit upbringing he tried to flee. Rated R. 88 minutes.
Playing at: Country Club Hills 16

Mighty Macs
The true, inspirational story of the all-female Immaculata College's 1971 basketball team's meteoric rise under Coach Cathy Rush. But in the trailer when the nuns start helping coach, all I can think of is "Nunsketball." Rated G. 100 minutes.

Paranormal Activity 3
This does look pretty scary, but my question for all "found footage" movies from Blair Witch to Cloverfield is why they keep filming. The moment my wife gets thrown across the room by an unseen hand, the last thing I'm going to worry about is keeping the shot in frame. Rated R. 81 minutes.

Rush: Time Machine
Concert footage live from Cleveland of the band performing their hits, as well as the entire 1981 album Moving Pictures. Not rated. 120 minutes.
Playing at: Orland Park Cinema Oct. 26 only

The Three Musketeers
One thing that's always bothered me: Why do the Musketeers have swords? Shouldn't they have muskets? Anyway, a steampunk version of the story with naval zeppelin battles and Milla Jovovich as some sort of lady ninja named "Milady." Just like Dumas wanted. Rated PG-13. 110 minutes.

The Way
Boy, nabbing Martin Sheen as lead for an indie film is a pretty big coup. I wonder how director Emilio Estevez pulled that one off. Sheen stars as a doctor who decides to complete a famous pilgrimage through the Pyrenees his son (played by real-life son Estevez) died while attempting. Rated PG-13. 115 minutes.
