Man Hospitalized After Attack at Amphitheatre
Three men ganged up on one at a local musical theater and left him seriously injured. The victim remained in the hospital Tuesday night and will through this week, police said.
A 28-year-old Hickory Hills man suffered major blood loss and rib fractures following an attack at a local musical theater, according to police.
The man, who remained in Palos Community Hospital Tuesday, was beat up by three others at the First Midwest Bank Amphitheatre, 19100 Ridgeland Ave., Tinley Park, around 7:30 p.m. Saturday, police said. It was around that time that the man left the lawn seats at the Jason Aldean concert and walked to the bathroom area.

"(The) victim advised he was walking back to his lawn seat … up the north concourse ramp when a male white 19 to 26 years of age wearing a gray shirt and shorts that looked highly intoxicated charged him and tackled him to the ground," the report said. "The victim and suspect began to roll around on the ground when the victim was able to take control of the suspect and get on top of him. When that happened, two other unknown subjects knocked the victim back down and began to kick him."
The victim covered his head and received "multiple kicks to his torso," an officer wrote in the report. A friend saw him being attacked and tried to pull the suspects off. The three assailants then ran from the area, according to the police report.
The victim's friend said he didn't get a look at the assailants because it all unfolded too quickly. The victim said he didn't know them and has no idea who would want to attack him.
The victim, who had scratches all over his arms, told police he didn't feel well and that he was having a hard time breathing. He was taken to the hospital, where medical staff said he had "major blood loss"—he lost at least 2 liters internally after his fractured ribs punctured his spleen, the report says.
He had his spleen removed and is expected to be discharged Aug. 24.

As the victim's girlfriend and a person present at the concert, I'd like to state that the victim wasn't acting like an "idiot". He was minding his own business trying to enjoy his evening! It should be noted that this is what happens when Midwest Amphitheatre over sells their concerts out of greed and makes it impossible for security to do their job!!! As a person at the concert I can attest that I didn't see any security in the lawn seating the entire time I was there!

And the award for biggest "idiot" goes to...Mary Carumba who clearly can't read. The article states the fight was unprovoked... Thanks for the mindless comment.
