Man Pulls Gun on Fellow Bar Patron
Cody D. Anderson, 67, of Tinley Park, was charged with felony unlawful use of a weapon and misdemeanor aggravated assault after police say he pulled a gun on another patron at Cuzin's Bar, Tuesday, Jan. 9.
A Tinley Park man faces a felony charge of aggravated unlawful use of a weapon and one misdemeanor charge of aggravated assault after pulling a gun on another man at Cuzin's Tavern, 17740 Oak Park Avenue around 9 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 22.
Cody D. Anderson, 67, of the 18200 block of S. 66th Avenue, was charged after a victim contacted police and stated that Anderson pulled a small handgun on him at Cuzin's Tavern, placing the gun against his ribcage while the two were seated at the bar.
The victim told police that he and Anderson where seated at the bar, talking about their military service. The victim said that he told Anderson he worked underwater during his service career and that Anderson began to question him about Polaris missiles.
Anderson then took a small, blue or black handgun from out of his coat and placed it against his ribcage, asking, "Who are you? Who the [expletive] are you?" The victim said he told Anderson he was, "an American," and that Anderson then placed the gun back in his pocket, according to police reports.
Anderson then left the bar and the victim called the police, who went to Anderson's home. Anderson approached the door with his hands behind his back.
Officers ordered Anderson to show his hands, which revealed he was holding a small, black handgun. Anderson placed the gun on the stairs and was taken into custody by police.
Anderson provided officers with a black wallet containing a gold badge with a 'Concealed Carry Permit' engraved on it. The wallet also contained an Illinois FOID card and two concealed firearm permits, from Florida and Utah.
Police brought the victim to Anderson's home, where he positively identified Anderson as the man from the bar.
The assistant state's attorney approved a felony charge of unlawful use of a weapon and one misdemeanor charge of aggravated assault. The victim signed complaints against Anderson for both charges.
Anderson was processed and placed in a holding cell, to await transport to the Bridgeview Courthouse for a bond hearing.

Why do I get the feeling you've never been there? Afraid the cardigan sweater wouldn't fit in? I've been there more than a few times. The staff was pleasant, the food good and the patrons never anything but friendly. Don't knock something on pure hearsay.

This isn't hearsay, this is a well known fact. Just because you turn a blind eye to this fact doesn't mean it's not happening. But hey, go right ahead and have a seat next to Cody Anderson, just dont turn that blind eye when he put's a gun in YOUR side!
