The accompanying photos were taken at the Tinley Park Police Department between July 13 and July 29.
Police arrested Michele M. Sweders, 38, of the 8300 block of West Chestnut Court in Frankfort, and charged her with felony retail theft. They said that around 3:50 p.m. July 25 Sweders entered Kohl's, 7500 W. 191st, Tinley Park, with a man who helped her steal. The duo took off the shelf a coffee maker priced at $119.99 and a cookware set priced at $249.99 and then brought them to customer service for returns, according to the report. The pair received gift cards in exchange for the "returned" items and left the scene. Police hadn't located the man as of July 26.
