Police: Man, Hollstein's Door Both Smashed

Orland Park man repeatedly punched the glass door at JW Hollstein Saloon while being thrown out for groping women, police said.

Tinley Park police arrested an Orland Park man early Friday morning, saying he smashed the glass door of the popular downtown JW Hollstein Saloon while being tossed out for groping women.

Michael J. O'Connor, 25, of the 16700 block of Summercrest Avenue, Orland Park, was charged with criminal damage to property after he punched the glass door four times, shattering it shortly before 1:30 a.m. Oct. 22, police said.

O'Connor punched the window while bouncers were throwing him out for grabbing the crotch of a female patron and the breasts of a Hollsteins employee, police said. The women did not press charges, police said.
