PTO Sponsors Secret Santa Workshop for Needy Families on Saturday
The Christa McAuliffe Elementary School charity event, which is part of the PTO's Giving From the Heart program, buys Christmas presents and gift cards for families from the school and community.
The Parent-Teacher Organization for Christa McAuliffe Elementary School will hold a special holiday event Saturday, Dec. 8, as part of its Giving From the Heart program.

The school is the setting for the PTO's Secret Santa Workshop, which will help raise money for Operation Send Santa to the Troops and the Crisis Center of South Suburbia. The Giving From the Heart program also buys Christmas gifts and gives gift cards to needy families from the school and community.
The event, which runs from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., will include raffles, entertainment and other activities. Last year, the program generated more than $700 in donations and gave almost 125 wrapped gifts and gift cards to families.
