Readers' Choice: And Your Favorite Tinley Park Auto Mechanic Is ...

Drumroll, please. So which auto mechanic keeps your engine purring? We polled our readers for their favorite one in Tinley Park—and one emerged victorious.

A reliable mechanic can sometimes be hard to find.

But readers said they've found it. We asked for your favorite auto shop in Tinley Park, and one reigned victorious: Tinley Auto Repair & Towing Inc.

The longtime company has been in business on Duvan Drive since 1978. It's a family-owned company that's been passed down from one generation to the next. Mechanics there can help you with all of your auto repair needs, they've said. Staff are accommodating and informative—They'll even pick up and drop off your vehicle if you so choose.

Congratulations to the Tinley Auto Repair & Towing Inc. for giving people what they want!

And your favorite Tinley Park BODY SHOP is an auto repair shop? They do good work here, but I've never seen any BODY work being done. Possibly people were confused as to what they were voting for. Either way, this is a good place for car repair.

Thanks for pointing that out, Bob. It was supposed to say "auto mechanic."

You're welcome Carrie. Actually I was hoping it would have been a body shop review ... looking for one of those at the moment. Thanks for fixing the headline! I enjoy "The Patch".

Ahh ... I hear you, Bob. What are you looking to have done? I know a few auto enthusiasts, thanks to Tinley Park's Cruise Nights on Oak Park Avenue. I will ask them. I can also call out to Facebook fans. Someone is bound to know a good body shop (I know several personally who I'm sure will offer their 2 cents).

Thanks Carrie. Actually just heard from the other person's insurance company this morning. They have a list of recommended shops in the Tinley area that they suggest I go to since they have more control over the repair process. Don't want to involve my ins co since I wasn't at fault. Appreciate the offer, I think I'm good to go.
