Now, don't forget, the idea is to be a productive member of society. Don't be fooled by Obummer's b.s. and sit around waiting for handouts like soooo many of his supporters. By the way, he's not helping you find a job either.

The Obama administration says that the recession is over and there is some serious job growth taking place. Most people don't believe that, especially the 8+ million unemployed and the other millions of under-employed. That 'Hope and Change' isn't working too well.

They measure job growth by the number of people collecting unemployment. This gives the false impression of jobs being created, but the unemployment rate does not reflect the number of people who have exhausted their unemployment benefits and are now without any income at all. This is a popular method of claiming jobs are being created by an administration that is falling off the favorable list....

Pro streeter that is always true for the unemployment figures whether it is 10.0 or 6.0 but the overall rate has been trending down. Obama will be the first one to admit that while the private sector jobs have increased it still isn't enough. His real plans for jobs have been stopped every step of the way, by the republican house that wants Obama to fail, no matter what the cost is to American workers.

Also, to inject a bit more fact into this, the GOVERNMENT, at almost every level, nationwide, has been steadily CUTTING jobs...(you can look it up). So even though this is exactly what the GOP wants, smaller government/less public employment, it also DOES contribute to the unemployment ranks. Also, some of those let go do get pensions by taking early retirement, but then still (at least try) to re-enter the job market, which means they DO count toward the unemployment rolls. Many of them were even laid-off and were then eligible for unemployment coverage in both 'red' and 'blue' states. Job growth has slowed, even though economists from BOTH sides keep saying the recession is over. Why? Because the indicator that economists use are things like factory orders, warehouse space, stock market, etc. The companies that ARE still here are running as lean as possible for as long as possible, but that doesn't help OUR unemployment, especially being a former manufacturing hub state. Many other companies are using that Asian labor force and posting good profits, helping the stock market, but again, not helping us with OUR unemployment.

So here is the thing...the Republicans smelled blood in the water since 2010. They have been obstructionist since 2008. (Mitch McConnell told everybody his 'gameplan' to not do ANYTHING to help the elected president of a country in the deepest recession since the Great Depression.) Before that, the Democrats weren't helpful even when they held both houses. They were too busy being vengeful/spiteful and infighting with each other to see what they could divvy up to pass anything.
The whole thing about the healthcare bill is a red herring too...it was law two years+ ago, and it doesn't take effect mostly until 2014. So to say they want 'certainty' is kind of a joke, since everybody does, but they had four years of certainty, which is about as much, if not more, than most people can expect in the business world from lawmakers.
Also, cutesy nicknames for the president aside, I can tell you my liberal friends are just as unhappy with the president as conservatives; they feel he didn't go far ENOUGH, with many things, or was too slow with many things on THEIR agenda. So that kind of tells you that he is probably pretty centrist, not the radical socialist that the GOP tries to conjure up to scare their base and the feeble-minded independent. Whether he is very good is a different debate, I will grant you.
To THAT point, my biggest disappintment with him is that he didn't try to do more with jobs earlier, and worry about healthcare or other items later. THAT is worth the anger.

The problem is, that anytime something good happens, Sean Hannity and his routine "experts" who all happen to be selling a book, tell us it's any President would have done the same.
