This is Only a Test: Disaster Drill Set for Sunday
Tinley Park's emergency services will be participating in a training event Sunday morning around 183rd Street, east of 80th Avenue.
A training event Sunday, Sept. 23, will run Tinley Park's emergency services through a full-scale disaster drill in the area around the Howe Developmental Center and the Tinley Park Fire Department's training tower, which are both on 183rd Street, east of 80th Avenue.
This type of drill, which will run from 8:30 to 11 a.m., is performed annually by the village and is coordinated by the Tinley Park's Emergency Management Agency.
The village has informed residents that they shouldn't be alarmed if they hear sirens and see emergency vehicles in the area.
