As a breed, Australian Cattle Dogs are known as intelligent and athletic companions, loving and playful family pets—and Tippy would love to be yours.

The 8-year-old cattle dog mixed breed is bright-eyed and young at heart. The breed is typically medium-sized and short-coated, known for being courageous and tireless workers with a protective streak. Tippy came to PAWS as a stray this June, and has been friendly with all who have worked with him, volunteers say. He is sweet and eager to please, and PAWS is looking for a particular kind of home for him.

Tippy has a tear in his right leg, which makes running and playing a bit risky for him. PAWS is seeking a quiet home, with only mild exercise. Tippy should not necessarily be chasing after tennis balls or jumping for Frisbees.

Tippy has droopy ears and a kinked tail, and comes microchipped. He is also neutered.
