Tinley Native Named New Assistant Village Manager in Homewood (Video)
Michael Marzal was sworn into office during the Oct. 9 Homewood village board meeting.
New Assistant Village Manager Michael Marzal was sworn in to office during the Homewood Village Board meeting Tuesday, Oct. 9.
The Tinley Park native was formerly working for the Village of Lincolnwood, but a desire to return to the South Suburbs brought him to Homewood.
"I grew up out here," Marzal said. "I used to swim at (H-F) High School and play hockey at the (H-F) ice rink."
Marzal received his master's degree in Public Administration at Northern Illinois University. Before Lincolnwood, he served as assistant village manager for the City of Woodstock. He foresees a smooth transition into his new role.
"Operationally, I think (working for Homewood) will be similar to what I've been doing in the past."
