Tinley Park Wins 6th Straight Award for National Night Out
This year's event, which spotlights crime, drug and violence prevention and awareness, was one of only three in the state to be honored by the National Association of Town Watch.
The Village of Tinley Park earned a National Night Out Award for 2012 from the National Association of Town Watch, the sixth consecutive year for the village, according to a village press release.
Tinley Park's event, which is the local component of a national crime, drug and violence prevention and awareness program, was one of only three towns from Illinois to win in its category, the release stated.

Nice job goes out to the Tinley Park Police Department Crime Prevention Division who organized the Tinley Park Night Out Against Crime. They did an excellent job and should be commended for their hard work and dedication.
