Tinley Thunder Sweep to Conference Swim Title

In 9-under baseball, the Tinley Park Bulldogs notched a second-place finish in the PItcher's Paradise tournament.

The Tinley Park Thunder swim team finished its summer season on a high note, completing a conference sweep.

The Thunder won both the boys and girls titles in the five-team South Suburban Swim Conference. Burbank Swim Association, Joliet and Morris Stingrays, Chicago South Swim Club and the Oak Forest Swim Association joined the Thunder for the meet at Tinley Park High School.

Individual winners for the boys included Andrew Alarcon, Dale Westberg, Kevin Griffin, Larry Feeley, Dan Shaunnessey, Kevin Hesse and Andrew Griffin. 

First-place finishers for the Thunder girls were Annie Egan, Dana Westberg, Melissa Joyce, Leah Wood, Maya Knoska and Kristen Davies.

Tinley Park Bulldogs Place 2nd in Tourney

The Tinley Park Bulldogs 9-under travel baseball team took second place in the Pitcher’s Paradise tournament. The boys traveled to Bourbonnais to participate in their first event using "major league " rules, including dropped third strikes and basestealing.

With these rules in place, the Bulldogs adjusted as they went along, quickly learning how to handle pickoffs and the like. And they advanced to the finals before losing to the Bridgeport Bombers 7-3.

Tinley Bears Youth Camp a Hit

The Bears Youth Football camp just completed a successful week of . The camp was hosted by Southwest Christian School.
