We've collected south suburban residents' best costume photos, and now it's time for you to vote for the best in the poll below. After a week, we'll award a prize to the person with the most votes.
The winner gets a tricks-and-treats prize: A $25 gift card to Riley's Tricks Shop in Worth, and a $10 gift card to The Sweet Company in Mokena.
You may keep submitting photos and we'll add your name to the poll as we go. Please email michael.sewall@patch.com when you add a photo so we can add your name.
Here's how to submit your photo:
- Make sure you're logged in to Patch.
- Click on "Add Photos" underneath our current gallery.
- Upload photos of your costumes old and new, and don't forget your kids' costumes!
- Write a caption with the name of the person in the photo and clarify the costume if necessary.

I like this idea, other then the whole voting process. I for one will let whoever actually likes my photo vote for it, not hound total strangers into voting 1,000 times. It makes it unfair. But good luck to all and I very much enjoy looking at the photos with my boys!!

OK, Ryan. That's been bugging me for two days now. It's like a Drop Dead Fred ventriloquist dummy with prison tats. What are you supposed to be?

I have a great idea here. After Halloween this year, you should have another contest for costumes. This year I have BOTH my kids, and will be taking plenty of pictures!!

I was gonna enter my grandkids until I read the rules, here there are in case no one has read them. They should have a separate contest for kids, some of the kids costumes don't compare to the adults that are very creative.

I posted my Daughters (The Red Queen) photo, I knew the entrees have to be 18 years of age or older yet, I was pretty proud of the costume I made her, I figured what the heck, she looks cute, she also earned 1st place at the Arbor Park Costume Contest last year.

Thank you Felicia, I'm still trying to find the pics that are not to old but in the mean time I just voted for you, it looks like you put some time and effort into your costumes. I laughted when i saw some of 9-11 & 12 voting poll. Don't get me wrong the kids are darn cute, but they still don't compair to the adults, they must be repeat voting from the parents.

I entered my daughter in the contest the same as everyone else. Don't get upset, either participate and have fun with the rest of us, or don't. But putting comments that the kids don't compare to the adults isn't a very nice thing to say. That is your opinion, but it doesn't seem in the light hearted spirit of the contest. We're not competing for an IPad here.
