The two residents and one firefighter who were sent to the hospital over the weekend after a Brookside Glen house fire are in good health, village officials said.

"The firefighter was released shortly after," Tinley Park Fire Chief Ken Dunn said Thursday, declining to release the names of the victims. "I think the others were probably released that night.

He said the victims are "physically well" but likely working through the challenges of losing part, or all, of their home.

"A lot goes through your head when you see your house on fire," Dunn said. "There are a lot of details to figure out and a lot that needs to be done after the fire is put out."

The three were sent to the hospital on the afternoon of July 2 after a fire destroyed a home at 8511 Hollybrook Lane. The blaze started around 2 p.m., burning through about half of the house, the garage and three cars—a BMW, Corvette and Audi.

Dunn said investigators believe the cause of the fire was electrical in nature but he wouldn't provide additional details.

Tinley Mayor Ed Zabrocki said the village put the residents up in a hotel for three days.

"It's just something we for our residents," he said. "The last thing we want is for people to worry about where they're going to stay."
