Who's Running for Office in Tinley Park?
The deadline for filing has passed; now find out who's running for office in Tinley Park in April.
Tinley Park residents will see a few fresh faces on the ballot April 9.
As the deadline passed Dec. 26, Tinley Park City Clerk Patrick Rea closed the books on the two-week filing window, with 13 names officially filed. Rea accepts the filings, then sends them off to the state to ensure the potential candidates meet all state-mandated requirements.

Is there a place where we can research the candidates? Like what are they doing now? What has Zabrocki done or didn't do that he said he was going to do? Stuff that will help decide on whether or not he should stay or it's time for him to go the way of Lovie...

Yeah but replace Zabrocki with an incompetent challenger? A guy who asks why money was spent on this or that. But when he was a working for the village found it to be okay to go to school to be a lawyer on the village dime while driving a village vehicle to school. Hmm. Its okay for him but not anyone else. He took advantage of the Village of Tinley Park and their residents. Why would anyone put him in office?

i think the people of tinley park need to find out about the real zabrocki..#1- a train station that could of been built for 5 million. not 12 million. just think what tinley park could of done with a extra 7 million. free vehicle stickers for everyone for the next 20 years..maybe reduced the water bills..etc.. #2- garbage pickup costs each household in tinley park 30 dollars more every 3 months than other towns..why? i think everyone one needs to go to tinleysparks.com and see for yourself..

Ha there's the challenger himself. Please tell me Mr. Joe about your going to law school and driving a village vehicle there on the Village dime. Maybe the village could have had free vehicle stickers for life. Nope I'm not going to your goofy website and you will not have my vote.

Hey Patch, why not FOIA the amount of money it's cost the village for all the FOIAs that Mr. Eberhardt has requested. I'm sure Patch readers would be surprised by the amount of time and money the villages wastes on his requests.

Heres your answer. And your right people should know how much money and time this guy has wasted on FOIA. From Jan. 2011-Nov 2012 the Village has spent $6,805.31 on his FOIA requests and 217.25 hours the Village Hall employees have spent fulfilling his FOIA requests! How can this man possibly sit here and tell everybody the village is wasting money? Look at him! Thats a lot of money and time spent on his requests. Also many of the things he has requested are goofy and again a waste of time and money.

I think we need a stronger candidate to go up against Zabrocki..don't think Eberhardt has what it takes. Where's Jeff Junkas when you need him? I would love to see a list of Project expenditures that leads to the Zabrocki legacy. Oh, yes... The Legacy Plan...how much did that cost our village, or how about all those median landscape projects along Harlem and now, 171st, and of course cost extreme costs for the train stations. We also need to learn about what Mr. Zabrocki received personally in return for these contracts. Of course, we will never know. This man is on an ego trip!

@TP Karen I beleive the planters on Harlem, 167th and now 171st are all Cook County projects on Cook County roads so lets throw that muck at the right people. And I'm pretty sure When Metra puts up money for a train station, the Village also had to pony up money. Maybe not to the extent we did, but Metra wasn't going to pay for a train station on its own.
It would be nice if the Mayor and the Village staff would speak to some of these misstatements that we all missed by not going to Village meetings and not having any viable news organizations in town.

I'm not positive but I thought a good part of the metra stations were funded by metra, the feds, with Tinley Park kicking in 2 million and the median landscape projects were funded by the Obama economic recovery plan. Feel free to correct me if I'm wrong!
