Join Charlie Brown and the gang as Lincoln-Way North High School presents a musical adaptation of Charles M. Schulz’s popular comic strip, Peanuts, beginning April 26.
"You're a Good Man, Charlie Brown is a charming musical filled with delightful comedy, tender moments, and show-stopping numbers,” said Lincoln-Way North choral director Christina Shoemaker. “Its appeal is in the little moments that feel so real to each of us. At the heart of it all is a story about friends and those little things in life that bring us great joy.”
Based on the comic strip Peanuts by Charles M. Schulz, You’re a Good Man, Charlie Brown! tells the story of a young man who can’t seem to win the heart of a red-haired girl and how he comes to realize what truly makes him happy.
Musical numbers include “You’re A Good Man, Charlie Brown,” “Beethoven Day,” “Suppertime” and “Happiness.”
“Happiness is ... working with this group of students!” said Shoemaker. “The cast is exceptional. It has been a pleasure watching them get to know their characters. We have laughed and cried along with the Peanuts gang and can't wait to bring their story to life for an audience.”
