The Park Forest Art Fair is the second oldest juried fair in Chicagoland. The 56th Annual Park Forest Art Fair will be held on Saturday, September 17 and Sunday, September 18 from 10 - 5 in Downtown Park Forest, which is adjacent to Village Hall. Artists will be coming from as far away as California and New Hampshire. Artworks presented will represent a variety of media from painting, print-making, pastels and photography to ceramics, sculpture, wood, glass and fiber arts. On Saturday, the Village will host a music fest with musical groups performing jazz, pop and blues. On Sunday, fest favorite Patchouli will perform all day. There are many activities for children including an art contest and tie dying. While visiting the fair, drop in to see the current exhibit in the gallery of works of Tall Grass artists. HELP! We lost a very valuable painting Saturday afternoon 9/17 at the Park Forest Art Fair. (Actually, my 9 year old daughter, who was only supposed to be displaying it for her school, sold it to a patron). It is a blue peacock with a blue background, acrylic on a canvas about 12X16, signed "Fiona" If you are the person who bought it, or knows who did, please return it to the Tall Grass Arts school or contact keating2948 (at) yahoo dot com.
