Zabrocki Plaza to Become National Night Out HQ on Tuesday

National Night Out Lets Public Learn About Police Department
The annual National Night Out program brings together police departments and the communities they serve as a way to strengthen crime prevention. Members of the Tinley Park Police Department, Tinley Park Fire Department and other civic agency will be on hand for this year's event from 5 to 9 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 6, at Zabrocki Plaza in front of the Oak Park Avenue Metra station.
This year's National Night Out also will include a magic show, a DJ playing music and face painting and balloon animals by a clown. The village's weekly Cruise Night will be part of National Night Out activities, too.
What Else to Watch for Tuesday
- Public Works Committee, 6:45 p.m., Fulton Conference Room: The agenda includes discussion on the contract to replace village LED sign at Vogt Plaza and street improvements to 80th Avenue. Go to the village's website to read the full agenda.
- Budget, Audit and Administration Committee, 7:45 p.m., Fulton Conference Room: The agenda includes discussion over health insurance renewal. Go to the village's website to read the full agenda.
- Village Board, 8 p.m.: The agenda includes discussion to put in a new stop sign at 88th Avenue and Mallard Road and set up no parking spots along 183rd street frontage road. The board also will appoint new committee and commission board members. Go to the village's website for the full agenda.
