Distress Screenings are for anyone newly diagnosed with cancer or their caregivers which include family and friends.  These screenings include a 45-minute appointment for the patient to talk with a counselor about their stress, coping skills and general feelings related to the cancer in order to begin treating the whole person; mind, body and spirit.  The patient is offered the distress tool during the session. Presented by Lynn Ring, LCSW, LMFT ,a licensed marriage and family therapist. She has been offering counseling at The Cancer Support Center since 2008 and has been a clinician for 25 years.
