Family Counseling Services Helps Mom's of Multiples Celebrate Life's Riches

Celebrating Life’s Riches is what the 51st Annual Illinois Organizations Mothers Of Twins Club Convention is all about this year.  We can celebrate all we want, but we can’t forget to take care of our essential needs.   This year Will County Mothers or Twins Club is welcoming Kim Rhodes, MS, LCPC, Director of Behavioral Health Services for Family Counseling Services in Aurora to be one of the four breakout speakers at the Illinois Mother Of Twins Club Convention on October 19th in Joliet, IL to encourage mothers of multiples and teach them how to deal with stress.  Self-care is an important skill to have when increased stress is present.  Mothering can be difficult and be a source of stress that goes unnoticed and unshared by busy mothers, especially those who are parent of multiples.  Kim will stress the importance of making self-care a priority and teach you to implement it BEFORE stress occurs.  Kim will present how to implement self-care on a daily basis in order to meet the demands when the stress increases to high levels.

Kim has worked with people in the counseling field for 15 years and began working in the field teaching parenting classes.  The ideas on self-care have persisted throughout the years, and Kim believes this is due to the relative importance of it.
