Tinley Park High School is proud to congratulate Principal Theresa Nolan for her installation as President of the Tinley Park Chamber of Commerce. Dr. Nolan is the perfect person to have been selected due to her prior experience and knowledge, which will help her perform the duties of the new position. Duties include running meetings, overseeing budgets and incorporating new ideas.
The Chamber consists of 350 local businesses that network together to further evolve their companies. The group gives its members the ability to generate new business contacts, meet potential clients and build relationships. Tinley Park High School is a member of the Chamber as well, which impacts the students in a plethora of ways. The school has the opportunity to connect with the community for possible sponsorships, internship opportunities, scholarships and jobs for students. Most recently, art students from Tinley Park High School painted a mural on the outside of a local business. The Chamber will have their very own float in the Irish Parade and the students in Business Professionals of America (BPA) class at Tinley Park High School will be participating as well. According to Dr. Nolan this relationship has been a great experience for her as well as the school, and will remain a great resource from which everyone can benefit.
