Tinley Park HS Students Visit the Money Museum

Under the guidance of teacher Mrs. Kathy King, Tinley Park High School sophomores involved in the Academically Talented Program (ATP) went on a tour of the Money Museum at the Federal Reserve Bank of Chicago.  The students learned about the role of the Federal Reserve, the history of U.S. currency, the life cycle of paper currency, and how to spot a counterfeit bill.  They also took pictures with $1,000,000 in $100 bills, designed a dollar bill with their face on it, and received a souvenir of $364 – all shredded unfortunately.
