Oak Park Avenue has taken on a new look, with the unveiling of Tinley Park's 2014 "Benches on the Avenue."

The avenue is speckled with hippos, geese, birds and more to fit the theme of "Let the Games Begin!" Benches celebrate games of all kinds, including "Hungry Hungry Hippos," "Duck Duck Goose" and "Angry Birds."

Benches are placed in front of businesses along Oak Park Avenue, from 172nd to 176th streets.

Other games highlighted on bench designs include Trivial Pursuit, Operation, Ring Around the Rosie, Operation, and Minecraft.

The benches will be on display through October 1. Awards will be doled out for the best first-time participant, best family project and most creative.
