Get a Glimpse of Photo Hunt Clue No. 5

Our crew of nearly 20 Southland Patch editors, ad managers and other staff will descend on Tinley May 30 to sprinkle goodies and volunteerism throughout the community. As a preview, let's go on a virtual scavenger hunt!

Day five of our  is upon us.

The game will culminate Wednesday, May 30, when Patchers blanket  with our zealous spirit, volunteer efforts and most importantly for you — LOTS of giveaways, such as free gift cards to anyone who utters the secret word, "Zabrocki", to us while we are out and about that day.

The Skinny on Tour de Patch:

  • Keep an eye out and join us May 30 as we tour the Tinley community. We’ll be pretty easy to find, as we’ll be decked out in our bright green Patch gear.
  • If you see Patchers in Tinley Park, tell us the Secret Word, and win one of our , iTunes or  cards. We'll have other prizes, too, including T-shirts, Patch pens and magnets and more.
  • Throughout the day, you can stop by our home base at Together We Cope to say hello.
  • Would you like us to visit your office? Your restaurant? Your nonprofit organization? Let us know! Tell us in the comments and will rain goodies down upon you and your co-workers.
  • Be ready to pose for pictures, or even get in on one of our videos.

Let’s enjoy this village.

See you on tour!

Turns out it was a minor crash, according to state police. No one was injured enough to require aRead More trip in an ambulance. Two cars were involved in the collision, which happened at about 2 p.m.
Local Citizen June 18, 2013 at 02:01 pm
I'd also contact whichever bank has this in foreclosure. If they're the legal owners, then they'reRead More responsible. Maybe the threat of a lawsuit if someone gets sick or injured might prompt them to take action.
Concerned Citizen June 18, 2013 at 02:31 pm
The problem is that nobody knows or can locate the bank who owns this property. I have contacted aRead More friend of mine whom is a realtor and there saying it's owned by HUD! Well good luck getting in touch with them!
Concerned Citizen June 18, 2013 at 05:47 pm
Well I just ran into an inspector sent by the bank who entered the property and said that the coinsRead More have eaten through the ceiling of he living room! I knew it!!!

We too live in Parkside and I couldn't agree with you more! I love your sign! I have a three yearRead More old and I refuse to let him play on the last 15 feet of the driveway due to the speeding cars. Maybe a speed bump?!
dalygirl June 16, 2013 at 09:25 am
We've looked into a speed bump too. Make yourself a sign, call the Tinley Police and ask for theRead More electronic monitoring sign, call the village and complain, and be pro-active. Someone from the village saw my sign and has informed me that the village will be putting up speed limit signs and caution - kids playing signs this week. Good luck!!
