Hundreds of motorcyclists participated in the 14th annual Manteno Veterans Ride on Sunday. Riders honored World War II veteran Archie Trapp by traveling to the Illinois Veterans Home in Manteo, where Trapp resides.

Motorcyclists gathered Sunday morning at the Tinley Park Convention Center for the 14th annual Manteno Veterans Ride.

Hundreds of bikers departed Sunday, Nov. 4, from the convention center and rode to the Illinois Veterans Home in Manteno.

Before their departure, a ceremony was held outside the convention center. This year's event honored World War II veteran Archie Trapp as an honorary road captain. Trapp resides at the veteran's home in Manteno and rode a military Harley in the Army Signal Corps in Europe during WWII.
