Tinley Park Man's Christmas Display Makes National TV Debut (Updated)

Dominic Kowalczyk's holiday decorations at his Avon Lane home competed Monday against others across the country for $50,000. Find out if he won.

UPDATED: 10:23 p.m. Monday, Dec. 23—Unfortunately, Dominic Kowalczyk wasn't the winner of his episode Monday. But his display made a good showing on the program. It certainly looked like everyone had fun when they turned on the lights.

Tinley Park resident Dominic Kowalczyk and his 100,000 Christmas lights and 200 figurines will be featured Monday, Dec. 23, on ABC's Great Light Fight

The show spotlights 20 families across the United States who decorate their homes to the extreme for Christmas. A total of $250,000 in prizes will be awarded, with $50,000 won each week.

Kowalczyk's 17321 Avon Lane home will be featured during the two back-to-back, hourlong episodes that begin airing at 8 p.m. Monday. Seven other contestants also will be featured in these episodes.
