Tinley Park Under Lake Effect Snow Warning

The village and other Cook County communities could see another 1 to 2 inches Thursday. Find out when the heaviest snowfall will hit.

The National Weather Service has issued a lake effect snow warning for Tinley Park and other parts of Cook County until 3 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 2. Most of the intense snowfall is predicted to begin Thursday morning and hit areas near Lake Michigan the worst, according to the agency. 

The heavy snowfall is expected to fall during morning rush hour traffic, the weather service reports.

Tinley Park and other Cook County communities away from the lake could see 1 to 2 inches of snow by the afternoon. Areas by the lake could be hit with as much as 10 inches, the agency reports.
