Tinley Will Soon Get a Break From the Heat

Local officials are encouraging residents to visit local cooling centers until temperatures dip Thursday.

Judging by the weather Wednesday, it's hard to believe that come Thursday, Tinley residents will see a more than 20 degree drop in temperatures.

National Weather Service Spokesman Ron Trumbla said that storms are expected to hit the area around 1 a.m. Thursday, which should peg Thursday and Friday thermometers in the low 70s.

In the mean time, he and local officials like Tinley Park Emergency Management Agency Director Pat Carr, suggest taking a dip in a local pool and staying hydrated—especially if you're planning on spending long bouts outside.
