12th Annual Irish Parade

Parade starts at Central and marches north to 173rd Street. Irish dancers, the Chicago Stock Yard Kilty Band, marching bands, fire trucks and dozens of other floats will make up the parade. The parade should last about 90 minutes.

Before the parade, restaurants along Oak Park Avenue are hosting special breakfasts and family events such as facepainting. Irish Tea is being served ahead of the parade at the Vogt Center.

Afterward, bars and restaurants along Oak Park Avenue will be having food and drink specials and live music, including Ed & Joe's Pizza, which is hosting the Peotones band starting at 4 p.m., Durbin's, which has The Katie Sullivan Band also starting at 4 p.m., and Cousin's, which is hosting The Tilt from 4-7 p.m.
