Digital Bookmobile visit Tinley Park Library on Sat, June 9 from 10 am to 4 pm

Free ebook download services will be showcased on Saturday, June 9 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.  at the Tinley Park Public Library’s east parking lot with a visit from the Digital Bookmobile National Tour (www.digitalbookmobile.com). Readers of all ages will learn how to download ebooks from the library through interactive demonstrations and high-definition instructional videos.

Housed inside an 18-wheel tractor-trailer, the Digital Bookmobile boasts 74 feet of high-tech fun including a gadget gallery—featuring Kindle®, iPod® touch,  Android™ tablet, NOOK™, Sony® Reader™, BlackBerry®, Windows® Phone, and more—to help visitors discover portable devices that are compatible with the library’s free download service.

Library card holders can also check out and download digital titles any time, anywhere by visiting http://mediaondemand.org. The Digital Bookmobile is a service of the Tinley Park Public Library and is operated by OverDrive, Inc.

About Tinley Park Public Library

The library is located at 7851 Timber Drive in Tinley Park, just south of the 80th Avenue Metra Station. The closest intersection is 80th Avenue and 183rd St.  Serving more than 65,000 residents of Tinley Park and Orland Hills, the library has offered its free digital download service for 2 years and has been circulating ereaders since 2011. Six Kindle Touch ereaders and six Nook ereaders are available for checkout by adults, as well as three Kindle Touch ereaders for children.
