Stop by for a Spell - A costume fundraiser for women who want to make a difference in another woman’s life.

On October 25, women of all ages and from all walks of life will come together for an evening of dress-up fun and giving. Witch-wear encouraged; not required.

$15 gives you access to the Witches' Bazaar (Shopping), the Scary Story Teller, music in the Joliet Historical Museum, entry into the costume contest, and entry in the door prize drawing.  There is a cash buffet dinner and cash bars with specialty drinks and souvenir glasses.  For a little extra cash, you can help raise more money by purchasing raffle tickets, a session with a psychic reader, or a photograph.

Please see the event website for complete information and to purchase tickets.

Proceeds go to three Will County United Way Agencies Serving Women & Children:  Lamb's Fold Women's Shelter, Stepping Stones Treatment and Recovery Center, and Will County Children’s' Advocacy Center. Last year Witches’ Night Out donated $18,000 to organizations helping women in need. This year the goal is $24,000. Please Help!

Witches’ Night Out demonstrates what women who are dedicated to helping others can do – all while enjoying the playful spirit of the season. The event is organized entirely by volunteers. All proceeds are donated to agencies through the United Way of Will County.

Go to www.witchesnightout.com for more information and to purchase tickets.  Doors open at 4:30 pm.  Valet parking is $5.

Turns out it was a minor crash, according to state police. No one was injured enough to require aRead More trip in an ambulance. Two cars were involved in the collision, which happened at about 2 p.m.

I'd also contact whichever bank has this in foreclosure. If they're the legal owners, then they'reRead More responsible. Maybe the threat of a lawsuit if someone gets sick or injured might prompt them to take action.

The problem is that nobody knows or can locate the bank who owns this property. I have contacted aRead More friend of mine whom is a realtor and there saying it's owned by HUD! Well good luck getting in touch with them!

Well I just ran into an inspector sent by the bank who entered the property and said that the coinsRead More have eaten through the ceiling of he living room! I knew it!!!

We too live in Parkside and I couldn't agree with you more! I love your sign! I have a three yearRead More old and I refuse to let him play on the last 15 feet of the driveway due to the speeding cars. Maybe a speed bump?!

We've looked into a speed bump too. Make yourself a sign, call the Tinley Police and ask for theRead More electronic monitoring sign, call the village and complain, and be pro-active. Someone from the village saw my sign and has informed me that the village will be putting up speed limit signs and caution - kids playing signs this week. Good luck!!
