A traditional St Patrick’s Day Corned Beef and Cabbage Dinner just in time for Mardi Gras. Live entertainment features Jack and Jill and the Band of Brothers Pipes and Drums. Cash bar, raffles and door prizes. Kid friendly. Sponsored by the Country Club Hills Firefighters Union.

$15 for adults, children free with paying adult.

Where/When:
Stephens Convention Center in Rosemont, Friday 3 to 10 p.m., Saturday 10 a.m. to 10:30 p.m. and Sunday 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.
Why Go:
Custom car show sponsored by South Oak Dodge in Matteson, featuring hot rods, custom cars, trucks and motorcycles, and appearances by Billy the Exterminator, Sammi Sweetheart from Jersey Shore and Jennette McCurdy from iCarly.
Pricing:
$17 for adults, $5 for kids 6-12 and free under 6 (discount tickets are available at O’Reilly Parts Stores in Oak Forest, South Chicago Heights, Merrionette Park, Bridgeview, Calumet City, Harvey and  Joliet).

Lincoln-Way North High School, Saturday from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Why Go:
For your older kids getting ready for prom, the Lincoln-Way North High School Music Boosters will be selling gently used dresses, gowns, purses, gloves, jewelry and shoes at a Phoenix Formal Resale Boutique. Proceeds will benefit the school’s music programs. There will be no pre-sales or reserved items. Dressing rooms will be available.

MANHATTAN IRISH FEST
Where/When:
Manhattan Park District Recreation Center, Friday 5:30 to 10 p.m. and Saturday 9 a.m. to 10 p.m. Mass is Saturday at 9 a.m. Parade steps off at 11 a.m.
Why Go:
Celebrate Irish heritage with music, games, sports, dancing, mass and a parade. Cash bar.
Pricing:
$7 until March 3, $10 at the door, children 7 and under are free.
