Each week, we'll give you five family activities or events for the week.

Why go: Compete in team relays and other fun competitions in the library's rendition of MTV's popular game show.

Why Go: There will be more than 20 local comic artists, writers and publishers as well as more than 15 local comic book sellers and comic shops on hand.

, Oak Forest

Where/When: 4 to 7 p.m. Sunday at , 6119 147th St., Oak Forest

Why go: Irish entertainment and a hot food buffet that includes a choice of soups, salad bar, two meat entrees, pasta, vegetables, potatoes, dessert, tea and coffee. A cash bar also is available.

Pricing: $16 for adults, $9 for children 12 and under

, Homewood

Where/When: Saturday from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at , 2010 Chestnut Road, Homewood.

Why Go: Celebrate the 1950s, enjoy live music from Fast Eddie and the Corvettes, demonstrations from dessert chefs, sample wares from local and national confectioners, play Bingo Stroll and take trolley rides. There’s also a chocolate recipe bake-off.
