Who Are The Best Fictional Chicagoans of All Time?

And yes, before you have a conniption, the suburbs are included.

The Chicago editor over at Thrillist, Sean Cooley, recently assembled his list of the 15 Best Fictional Chicagoans of All Time.

Whereupon he was promptly raked over the hot dog steamer by commenters who objected to his inclusion of fictional suburbanites.

Predictably, Jake and Elwood Blues are on the list. But they're not No. 1.

Al Bundy makes the list. So do Wayne Campbell and Garth Algar, of SNL's Wayne's World fame, although their stomping grounds are in Aurora.

Kevin McAllister from Home Alone makes it, too.

Cooley, however, has Balki Bartokomous (from that sitcom Perfect Strangers) and Urkel listed ahead of Clark Griswold.

That's just wrong.

Joel Goodson from Risky Business only comes in at No. 5.

Who's No. 1 on Cooley's list?

Well, the top two on the list are linked to sausage, the most Chicagoey of all meat products.

What Do You Think? List your top all-time fictional Chicagoans (and Chicago-areans). Where did Cooley go wrong with his list?
