Tinley Park Students Celebrate Homecoming in the Streets

Members of the Tinley Park High School marching band, Homecoming court and other students marched through downtown Friday afternoon as part of the school's Homecoming parade.


Although the game didn't have the outcome they hoped, Tinley Park High School students kicked off their Homecoming celebrations Friday with a school assembly, followed by an afternoon parade through parts of downtown.

The procession began at the Tinley Park Historical Society on 174th Street, and members of the school marching band and other students made their way back to the high school. The participants waved and tossed candy to younger children who lined up along the route.
