And this holiday season the local restaurants and bars—many of which double as music venues—will not disappoint you. Tinley businesses are serving up amazing comfort foods and high-end eats and cocktails, which we consider ingredients for a very festive night on the town.

Here's a rundown of what some local bars and restaurants are up to this Christmas Eve, Christmas Day and New Year's Eve.

Lose Grandma at 

Christmas Eve and Christmas Day: The saloon is open during regular business hours on both Christmas Eve and Christmas Day for those last-minute shoppers looking to take the edge off before heading home. On Christmas Day, the bar celebrates it's "Lose Grandma 2" party, as party-goers duck out to watch the Bears-Packers match-up.

New Year's Eve: The bar is ringing in the New Year in style. For $35 per person, patrons can enjoy an open bar with premium drinks, appetizers from the regular menu, a champagne toast and party favors. The night also features the live band Red Hot Riot. Best of all, no one has to go home until well into 2012 — doors will remain open til 4 a.m. The staff highly recommends reservations.

A Party in the Pub at 

Christmas Eve & Christmas Day: The family-owned pub features regular hours on Christmas Eve, and is open on Christmas Day from 5 p.m. until regular close.

New Year's Eve: This year, Durbin's is considering its tradition of throwing a "Paty in the Pub" on NYE. A mere $10 gets you in the door with access to an appetizer buffet, champagne toast, DJ and more. Add $35 for an open bar from 10 p.m. to 2 a.m., though the bar is open til 4 a.m.

$1 Drafts at 

Christmas Eve & Christmas Day: This neighborhood bar was immortalized by Chicago Irish punk band The Tosser's. It features regular hours on Christmas Eve, and opens at 7 p.m. on Christmas Day with a regular closing time.

New Year's Eve: There is no cover to get in and the night includes a two-man band, shot specials, and as always, $1 drafts.

A Holiday Break for 

Christmas Eve & Christmas Day: The popular pizza eatery and venue is closed on both Christmas Eve and Christmas Day.

New Year's Eve: NYE at Ed and Joe's features Chicago blues band, The Kingsnakes. The group will take the stage in support of their 'Blue Mosaic' album.

A Really Late Night at 

Christmas Eve & Christmas Day: The sports bar and comfort food eatery is open on Christmas Eve until 6 p.m. but is closed Christmas Day.

New Year's Eve: Staff were a little short on the New Year's Eve details, except to say that there would indeed be a live band and that they would be open "really, really, really late."

Spend Part of Xmas Eve at 

Christmas Eve & Christmas Day: The charming local pub with its notorious dollar drafts is open on Christmas Eve until 5 p.m. However, you'll have to find another watering hole on Christmas Day—The Cottage will be closed.

New Year's Eve: Regular hours.

No Cover at 

Christmas Eve & Christmas Day: This wood-panelled wonder is closed on both days.

New Year's Eve: Avoid forking out cash to get in the bar. Dendrino's will be open until 4 a.m. and there will not be a cover, staff said.

Escape Your Holiday Party to Go to 

Christmas Eve & Christmas Day: The bar will keep its regular hours on Christmas Eve. On Sunday, doors open at 4 p.m.

New Year's Eve: You won't need to pay cover at Bailey's this New Year's Eve. The band Billy's Boys will take the stage at 9:30 p.m. to start saying goodbye to 2011. The bar offers a complimentary champagne toast.

No Rest for 

Christmas Eve & Christmas Day: The restaurant will be open its regular hours on both days.

New Year's Eve: Hamada will be open for business during regular hours on New Year's Eve and boasts a full menu.

An Intimate NYE at 

Christmas Eve & Christmas Day: Closed both days

New Year's Eve: Avoid lines and cover when you opt to stop by this local cocktail lounge, where you can pick eats from the bar's regular menu. It will be open until 3 a.m. 

Get Jazzy at 

Christmas Eve & Christmas Day: The restaurant will remain open during regular hours on Christmas Eve, but is closed on Christmas Day.

New Year's Eve: A seven-piece jazz band provides the entertainment for the night as Outriggers offers it's regular menu and regular hours. Reservations are recommended.
