'Creative Cakes' Sisters Opening Cafe

Check out what the Creative Cakes owners are up to.

Longtime business owners and sisters Beth Fahey and Becky Palermo are about to take their bakery to the next level.

The pair, who have owned Creative Cakes for 22 years, have temporarily shifted the operation into space at Rubino's plaza, until their new cafe is ready to open for business.

The cafe will offer "natural foods with an emphasis on fresh and organic," the pair told the Chicago Tribune, along with soups and other foods made fresh on the spot. They'll also pour Intelligentsia coffee, wine, and craft beers from local Hailstorm Brewing Co.

The space will seat between 50 and 70, with more seating on an outdoor patio.
