South Suburban Small Business Association to Hold 14th Annual Fall Meeting Oct. 12

South Suburban Small Business Association will hold its 14th annual Fall Meeting and Luncheon at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 12, at the Odyssey Country Club, 19100 S. Ridgeland Ave. in Tinley Park.

This annual luncheon is held for a twofold purpose: to educate attendees on a topic of current economic importance to them and to provide networking opportunities.

Held in conjunction with the annual luncheon is an exhibitor’s fair where companies will showcase their businesses. Exhibits will be open from 11 a.m. to noon and from 1:30-2:30 p.m.

Attendees are encouraged to come early and visit the exhibitor’s booths.  There will be raffles and free gifts for those visiting the booths.

Guest speaker this year is well known and respected speaker Jack A. Ablin, executive vice president and CIO at Harris Private Bank. He is responsible for establishing investment policy and strategy within the Personal Investment Management Group of Harris Private Bank.

Ablin also chairs the Harris Private Bank Asset Allocation Committee, which determines the strategy for investment portfolios for Harris Private Bank.

Ablin joined Harris in 2001 and has more than 25 years of experience in money management. He earned a bachelor’s degree from Vassar College, where he graduated with honors with an AB in Mathematics and Computer Science.

Ablin received an MBA with honors and graduated cum laude from Boston University, and is a member of the Beta Kappa Sigma Honors Society.

He holds the Chartered Financial Analyst designation. He is a member of the CFA Society of Chicago and a CFA Institute Charter holder.

Ablin’s Keynote Presentation will be on the current economy with insightful projections into the future.

The cost for the luncheon and exhibitor fair is $30 for SSSBA members and $35 for non-members.  Exhibitor fees are $125 for a booth, including one ticket for the luncheon and program.
