Hailstorm Brewing Co. Open for Business in Tinley Park

Have you sampled their brews?

There's a new brewery in town, Tinley Park.

Hailstorm Brewing Co. swept into its location at 8060 W. 186th St. in April, opening its tasting room and tapping the kegs on a "constantly rotating array of brews, some seasonal, some driven by any wild idea we may have."

Co-owner Chris Schiller, of Orland Park, told the Tribune he hopes to produce about 4,000 barrels this year, for distribution through bars and stores, or direct to customers by the growler or a smaller, 22-ounce "bomber."

Schiller is joined by fellow owner Brandon Branbury, a local home brewer who has specialized in belgian, sours, and barrel-aged beers. He brings brings 8 years' experience in food and beverage plant systems and civil engineering.

"Visitors to our tasting room should always find something new coming out of the zymurgists lair," according to the website.

Hailstorm brews are already carried at Ariel's Bar & Restaurant in Tinley Park, Creative Cakes bakery in Tinley Park and Mama Maria's Taco Bar in Orland Park. They're also in talks with Binny's Beverage Depot and Whole Foods, Schiller told The Tribune.

Hailstorm is open Tuesday through Sunday from noon to 8 p.m. Closed Mondays.
