Job Hunters: Who's Hiring in Tinley Park and Oak Forest? (May 8)

This week, we list openings for a customer service representative at an insurance company and a clinical psychologist for a health-care center. Plus, a stay-at-home mom needs a housekeeper.

Finding a job can be a tough task. Putting together a résumé, hitting the streets looking for “Help Wanted” signs and making the best impression on potential employers can be a tall order for anyone. WANTED: Instructional assistant/van route driver for seniors program
Elim Christian Services (Palos Heights): Assist Instructors with implementing life skills training for individuals who have developmental disabilities. Assist individuals with developmental disabilities in personal care, social skills and coping mechanisms, working cooperatively with a team in addressing the needs of multiple individuals who have disabilities. Driving for morning and afternoon routes and community outings is required. Must have a high school diploma, a valid driver's license, clear driving record and ability to frequently lift at least 50 pounds and lift, as well as maneuver an individual of at least 175 pounds. Work hours are from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. weekdays. Salary is $9.50 an hour (contingent on education and experience), and a full-time benefits package is included. WANTED: Customer service representative
Merit Insurance Group (Tinley Park): Insurance office is looking for part-time office help. No sales or insurance office experience preferred. Qualified candidates should be organized, have good phone skills and computer knowledge. Experience with office management systems a plus. Work is for about eight to 12 hours a week. WANTED: Clinical psychologist
Lifecore Rehab and Counseling Services (Oak Forest): The center needs a state-licensed clinical psychologist for an adult day program, working with mentally challenged adults by providing individual and group therapy sessions and other activities. Candidates should have a doctorate in psychology or medicine, license to practice in Illinois and experience leading group sessions with topics relevant to the needs of the clients. Care.com (Oak Forest): The care-provider placement site has a listing for a loyal and trustworthy individual to clean a two-bedroom apartment monthly for a stay-at-home mother with twin daughters and a fiancé, who has a full-time job.
