Job Hunters: Who's Hiring in Tinley Park? (Dec. 12)

WANTED: Seasonal II laborers
Village of Tinley Park: The Public Works Department has three part-time, year-round seasonal II laborer positions. Candidates should be familiar with procedures, materials and equipment associated with public works. The schedule is 20 to 25 hours per week September through May and up to 40 hours per week June through August. Pay is $10.32 per hour with the possibility of yearly raises based on performance. WANTED: Part-time clerk/matron
Tinley Park Police Department: The department is looking for someone to help with the booking process for in-custody female prisoners. This person also would monitor alarms and security cameras. Candidates must know Microsoft Office and be able to learn police terminology and procedures. The pay is $11.57 per hour. The deadline to apply is 5 p.m. Dec. 21. WANTED: Public information officer
Village of Tinley Park: Duties for this opening include planning and writing releases to inform residents about village projects and activities. It is a part-time position, working 30 hours per week, and includes some weekends and evenings. Go to the village website for more information and to apply.

WANTED: Part-time teller
Bank of America: The Tinley Park north branch of this financial institution is looking for someone to process transactions accurately and efficiently and address customer needs. Candidates must have a minimum of six months customer service experience and pass a teller pre-employment assessment. PrideStaff: The job staffing agency is looking for someone to fill an opening in an undisclosed client's front office. Responsibilities include greeting and assisting visitors, operating a multiline phone system and help the purchasing department. Candidates must have a high school diploma or equivalent and have at least two years of related experience.
